DESCRIPTION:
The Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist performs various laboratory tests/functions, as required, to assist the Laboratory Technologist in the efficient operation of the Laboratory.
Under the direction of the Laboratory Technologist, this position is engaged in performing all functions required in the Clinic’s laboratory within the guidelines of CLIA regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of eight months of formal training in various laboratory procedures to include phlebotomy.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
SUPERVISOR: Laboratory Technologist/Supervisor
CO-WORKERS: Works closely with all Clinic staff.
