DESCRIPTION:
The Lead Medical Technologist/Technician (MT/MLT), located in the Lab, assists the Laboratory Business Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the laboratory. The Lead MT/MLT provides technical guidance to all laboratory positions and is expected to function as a bench tech. As needed, the Lead MT/MLT performs administrative functions in the absence of the Laboratory Business Manager. The Lead MT/MLT insures the laboratory maintains compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standard operating procedures and good laboratory practices. The Lead MT/MLT solves complex problems with excellent customer service skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
M.T. Four years of college with courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics or graduation from a recognized school of Medical Technology. Registry from A.S.C.P. or equivalent (H.E.W., NCA. ASMT, ISCLT)
- M.L.T .Two years of college with courses in biology, chemistry and mathematics or graduation from a recognized M.L.T. program. Registry from A.S.C.P. or equivalent ( A.S.M.T.,NCA).
