DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Technologist/Technician (MT/MLT), located in the Lab, performs various laboratory tests/functions as required to assist medical Providers with patient care. The MT/MLT collects and processes specimens in a safe and accurate manner. The MT/MLT performs tests as needed to assure daily, weekly and monthly quality control. Results of tests and quality control values are recorded neatly and accurately using quality record keeping as defined by the CBHA Quality Assurance Manual. The MT/MLT records tests performed in a daily log, orders supplies and when needed, sends out specimens.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
M.T. Four years of college with courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics or graduation from a recognized school of Medical Technology. Registry from A.S.C.P. or equivalent (H.E.W., NCA. ASMT, ISCLT)
- M.L.T .Two years of college with courses in biology, chemistry and mathematics or. Graduation from a recognized M.L.T. program. Registry from A.S.C.P. or equivalent ( A.S.M.T.,NCA)
