DESCRIPTION:
This position has responsibility for preparing patients for treatment, testing, or examination by the Health Care Provider and assisting the Provider in that function. He or she assists the Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses with patient flow, interpretation, connects with other services, maintains work area and examination rooms, stock supplies, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred completion on an acceptable (Community College or equivalent) nursing assistant training program with knowledge of medical terminology.
- Preferred six months on–the-job training and experience in a health care facility.
- Depending on circumstances at time of need, the position may be opened or on-the-job training.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
SUPERVISOR: Clinic Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Operations Director with day-to day instruction from Health Care Provider.
CO-WORKERS: Works closely, maintaining team approach, with all Clinic staff.
