Dr. Sam Crane, MD
Family Practice

Dr. Samuel Crane grew up and attended school in St. Petersburg, Florida, and went on to graduate from the Universtiy of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Education in 1997. He obtained a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine degree from Tulane University in 1999 and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida in 2008. He then moved to Portland, Oregon where he finished his residency at Oregon Health Science University. Dr. Crane completed an Advanced OB Fellowship at Swedish Hospital/Swedish Family Medicine Residency in Seattle, WA in 2012.

Dr. Crane's experience working at health centers fits his philoshopy of medicine. "I like family medicine which includes all specialties," he said. "My background was originally in public health; I believe strongly in education and pareventive medicine for my patients."

Dr. Crane  and his wife have four children ages 3 to 12 years. Dr. Crane enjoys water sports as well as snowboarding, camping, hiking and motorcylces.

It may seem to some that Dr. Atfeh is a long way from home. Actually, he is. He was born and lived in the country of Jordan until he was eight years old. He then moved with his family to Syria. He received his Doctor of Medicine form the University of Damascus in 2006. His next move was too Lebanon where he lived four years while completing several residencies. He came to the U.S. and completed a family pracctice residency in June of this year.

Dr. Atfeh's first visit to Othello was late last fall. "I like the attitude of the miedical providers that I encountered, " he said. "They all seemed happy to be here." Dr. Atfeh sees CBHA as a place where he can develop relationships with his patients and grow his practice. "I am excited to get started! I am also looking forward to workign with the other providers and learning from them."


Dr. Atfeh likes to swim and he is avid reader. He also enjoys biking, music, and video games. "I am learning to cook," he said. "My girlfriend is also from Syria so I am learniing to cook Syria food."
