Welcome Dental Residents!

We are excited to welcome two new dental residents to CBHA! Our residents will be at CBHA for a one full year practicing and bettering their skills. They will be working alongside our dentists, so you might see them at your next appointment!

You may be wondering what exactly a Dental Resident can do. Here are some of the procedures they can do while under the supervision of our dental providers:

  • Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients during complete exams like:
    • X-rays
    • Dental cleanings
    • Fillings
    • Root canals
    • Extractions
    • Bone grafting
    • Crown Lengthening
    • Crowns
    • Fabricate temporary dentures/flippers
  • Educate patients, and parents of the patients, on maintaining proper oral health.
  • Communicate with dental staff on our team regarding patient treatment plans.

Let’s get to know our residents a little more:

Dr. Luke Sanders

Dr. Luke Sanders is another one of our Dental Residents who will be studying in our Dental Residency Program this year!

Luke grew up in Conway, Arkansas and attended the University of Central Arkansas. Shortly after, he decided to follow his passion in Dentistry and attended The University of Tennessee Health Science Center: College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee.

He decided to road trip with his dad from Arkansas all the way to Othello. “I can’t wait to get to know the town, the community and all the great people that fill it,” says Luke.

When he is not with patients, he likes to do anything that requires being outdoors. “I like to go running, hiking and backpacking. Just really anything that involves being outside.”

Luke is excited to continue growing, and start delivering the best care he can to his patients.

Dr. Kotschai Hemat

Dr. Kotschai Hemat is one of our new Dental Residents that will be studying in our Dental Residency Program this year!

Kotschai was born and raised in Germany and attended Phillips University in Marburg, Germany. She later moved to the United States, and completed her first year of dental residency in Tukwila, WA and now finishing her second year of residency with us.

“I look forward to learning more about the advanced procedures that I will be taught here at CBHA, and the skills that I will gain,” says Kotchai.

She aligns her goals with our mission statement and was attracted to the services that we are able to provide for the large agriculture community around us.

“When I am not seeing patients, I like to explore by hiking, going on walks or traveling.” Kotschai also knows 7 languages; German, English, Pashto, Farsi, Arabic, Turkish and Dutch.

“I’ve had such a positive experience here so far, and I’m excited to be here.”
