Wahluke Clinic Recognized for Excellence in Childhood and Adolescent Immunizations

We are proud to share that our Wahluke Clinic has been honored with multiple awards at this year’s Immunize Washington Annual Awards, recognizing the clinic’s outstanding commitment to ensuring children and teens in our community are protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.

These awards celebrate medical clinics across Washington that achieve high immunization coverage rates, helping keep communities safer and healthier. To earn recognition, clinics must meet or exceed a 70% immunization rate in childhood or adolescent patient groups. The Wahluke Clinic surpassed those goals and was recognized in three categories:

  • Childhood Immunization – Bronze Award
    99% coverage rate
This reflects nearly complete coverage for essential childhood vaccines, ensuring our youngest patients start life with strong protection.
  • Adolescent Immunization – Bronze Award
    82% coverage rate
A high rate of vaccine protection for teens, supporting their health as they enter school, sports, and activities.
  • HPV Cancer Prevention Award
53% coverage rate of 9- and 10-year-olds who have received at least one HPV dose
This award recognizes our clinic’s early efforts in HPV vaccination, helping protect today’s children from several types of cancer later in life.

What These Awards Mean for Our Community

Vaccines are one of the most effective tools we have to prevent serious illness. By maintaining high immunization coverage, the Wahluke Clinic is helping reduce the spread of disease while promoting long-term community wellness. These accomplishments reflect coordinated efforts across our clinical teams from providers and nurses to support staff and outreach specialists.

At CBHA, quality care starts at every level. We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by the Wahluke Clinic team for upholding our mission: improving the health and quality of care for families in the communities we serve.

Thank You to Our Community

We extend our gratitude to the families who trust us with their care, and to the Washington State Department of Health for supporting this important work. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier future for our children.
