Franklin County residents, did you know that
CBHA’s Connell Clinic offers comprehensive, collaborative health care services? The Connell
Clinic has been expanding services and intends to expand even more. Site
Director Nohely Velazquez says, “One of my goals is for the Connell
Clinic be a ‘go to’ resource for any health needs people might
have.”
And that goal is well on its way to being realized. With eye care, family
medicine, dental care, lab services and behavioral health all under one
roof, there’s little reason to travel outside the area for health care.
It’s being the “go-to” location for the community’s
needs that inspires Velazquez. “I knew the impact that CBHA has
had on the community, but what surprised me is all the background work
that goes into making sure we are doing the best we can and ensuring patients
experience quality providers and quality service.”
Recently Connell Clinic added the services of
Psychiatric ARNP Michelle Taylor and the Behavioral Health team to its schedule. Behavioral health and
medication management is now possible without leaving Connell. Those interested
in learning more about common behavioral health conditions like depression
or stress management can attend one of the Lunch and Learn events at the
Othello Clinic. Michelle Taylor and her team will address important mental
health topics while providing valuable educational content (and a free
lunch as well). To learn more about these events go to CBHA.org/ Events.
Velazquez is excited about expanding services to provide even more comprehensive
care. “I would like to see us grow our services. We’re working
on that by bringing more providers here.”
Connell Clinic has already made a positive impact in the community –
and it’s certain to do even more, which gives the CBHA staff reason
to celebrate. “I really do love what I’m doing,” says
Velazquez. "I love to make an impact on the patients and my staff,
so that they can have the peace of mind that we are taking care of them
the best we can.”
