Welcome Erika Ritchie Parrish, Behavioral Health Consultant

We are delighted to welcome our new Behavioral Health Consultant, Erika Ritchie Parrish! Erika will be serving our patients at our Wahluke Clinic!

She was born and raised in Grant County, but has lived in many different places, including Ecuador. “I stayed in Ecuador for a year with my mom, and this is where I learned and perfected my Spanish,” says Erika.

After recovering from mental health issues as a child, she knew that it would be a great tool to help others recover. “Having a Hispanic background, I saw that there weren’t any open conversations that helped me feel like what I was going through was normal.”

She wants to change the conversation and the stigma around mental health in her culture, and let her patients know that they are not alone.

Erika received a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University, then completed her masters in Social Work at the University of Southern California.

She has worked in many different areas of social work including substance abuse, domestic violence, Child Protection Services and youth homelessness.

“I am excited to be with CBHA. Along with the warm and welcoming environment, CBHA provides care for underserved communities and it excites me to be able to help those that are struggling with mental health.”

On her spare time, Erika likes to spend time with family, watch her son play basketball and travel. She is also a volunteer for the state board testing for new peer support specialists.

“I am here to provide you with the support that you need, and to remind you that you are not alone. I can’t wait to meet you and I’m looking forward to serving the community in every way that I can.”

Erika is fluent in Spanish and is ready to help you learn more about mental health. If you or someone you know, is struggling with mental health, make an appointment with Erika today! Call/Text 509.488.5256
